Social Worker in New Market, MD

Make a meaningful impact supporting students and families as a contract school-based therapist. This full-time opportunity runs from December 1 through June 4 and is based at a central office while covering several sites in the Frederick area. As an itinerant provider, you’ll bring critical behavioral health services directly to students, collaborating closely with educators and administrators. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm. Virtual interviews are available for your convenience.

Key qualifications:

• Active LCPC or LCSW-C licensure for the state of Maryland
• Previous experience as a school social worker or counselor
• Comfortable serving multiple locations with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to supporting student wellness across diverse populations

Core responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and mental health services to a caseload of students across several schools
• Conduct assessments and contribute to student support plans
• Develop and implement preventative interventions and crisis management as needed
• Collaborate with educators, school psychologists, and families to promote positive student outcomes
• Maintain timely documentation and uphold professional standards
