Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure and credentials for school social work in Illinois
• Experience supporting students in K-12 educational settings
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Familiarity with IEP and 504 processes
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Adaptable, compassionate, and resourceful approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students through individual and group counseling sessions
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on educational, behavioral, and emotional support strategies
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies
• Support crisis intervention and provide resources for at-risk students
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in developing accommodations and support plans
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation
