Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure and credentials for school social work in Illinois
- Experience supporting students in K-12 educational settings
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 processes
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Adaptable, compassionate, and resourceful approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students through individual and group counseling sessions
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on educational, behavioral, and emotional support strategies
- Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies
- Support crisis intervention and provide resources for at-risk students
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist in developing accommodations and support plans
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation
