Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Hold a current Michigan license as one of the following:
- Master’s level psychologist
- MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
- Master’s level social worker
- Master’s level school social worker
- Master’s level professional counselor
- Fully licensed within the state of Michigan (limited licenses must already have independent supervision arranged)
- Experience working with elementary or middle school students is preferred
- Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive mental health counseling and social work services for students in grades 5-6
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement support plans, and collaborate with educators and families
- Provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and coordinate referrals to community resources as needed
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary student support teams to foster academic and emotional success
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and confidentiality standards
