Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Hold a current Michigan license as one of the following:
    • Master’s level psychologist
    • MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
    • Master’s level social worker
    • Master’s level school social worker
    • Master’s level professional counselor
  • Fully licensed within the state of Michigan (limited licenses must already have independent supervision arranged)
  • Experience working with elementary or middle school students is preferred
  • Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive mental health counseling and social work services for students in grades 5-6
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement support plans, and collaborate with educators and families
  • Provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and coordinate referrals to community resources as needed
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary student support teams to foster academic and emotional success
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and confidentiality standards
