School Social Worker - Oxford, MI

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver social-emotional counseling and support to students in elementary or high school settings
• Conduct individual and group sessions tailored to students’ needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to implement classroom- and school-wide behavioral and mental health programs
• Offer professional learning opportunities as needed for staff
• Contribute to ongoing efforts to cultivate a supportive and inclusive school environment

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (required, no exceptions)
• Active LARA license (as outlined by Michigan LARA, see https://www.michigan.gov/lara/bureau-list/bpl/health/hp-lic-health-prof/counseling)
• One of the following credentials:
  • Licensed or limited licensed master’s level psychologist or social worker (including school-specific credentials)
  • Licensed master’s level marriage and family therapist
  • Licensed or limited licensed master’s level professional counselor
  • School Counselor License or Michigan teaching certificate with NT or relevant counselor endorsements (must meet any additional state requirements within specified timelines)
• Experience working in school environments or with school-aged children preferred
