Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required—no exceptions (bachelor’s degrees do not qualify for this role)
- Active LARA license appropriate for the position (Social Worker, Psychologist, Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist in Michigan)
- Proficiency with SOAP notes, electronic documentation, and Google applications
- Familiarity and compliance with Michigan educational and licensure standards; willingness to fulfill additional counselor credential requirements if applicable
- Experience working with adolescents in school settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to provide counseling to groups and individuals in an educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social-emotional counseling to general education students, both individually and in groups
- Support classrooms and buildings through professional learning opportunities and behavior program implementation
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation to track student progress
- Collaborate with educational staff and participate in wellness teams as needed
