Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid and current state licensure for school social work
- Experience working with students in grades 5–9, particularly within a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with students, families, and faculty
- Ability to assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and provide crisis support as needed
- Flexible, adaptable mindset and a passion for creating inclusive, supportive learning spaces
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students in grades 5–9
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to identify student needs and implement targeted support strategies
- Develop proactive interventions addressing social, behavioral, and emotional issues
- Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings, contributing expertise on social-emotional learning
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding mental health and trauma-informed practices
- Maintain accurate records while strictly adhering to confidentiality protocols and ethical guidelines
