Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Experience supporting students at elementary and secondary school levels, ideally 5th–9th grade
  • Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning, counseling, and crisis intervention
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, educators, and families
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans
  • Compassionate and culturally responsive approach toward students from diverse backgrounds

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to address student needs and support classroom success
  • Develop and deliver interventions and programs to support positive behavior and school engagement
  • Serve as a key liaison between home, school, and community mental health resources
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute insights for IEPs or 504 Plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with district and federal guidelines
