Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid and current state licensure for school social work
  • Experience working with students in grades 5–9, particularly within a school setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with students, families, and faculty
  • Ability to assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and provide crisis support as needed
  • Flexible, adaptable mindset and a passion for creating inclusive, supportive learning spaces

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students in grades 5–9
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to identify student needs and implement targeted support strategies
  • Develop proactive interventions addressing social, behavioral, and emotional issues
  • Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings, contributing expertise on social-emotional learning
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding mental health and trauma-informed practices
  • Maintain accurate records while strictly adhering to confidentiality protocols and ethical guidelines
