Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program (or equivalent relevant degree)
• Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience working with students in grades 5 through 9, preferably in a school environment
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and issues relevant to preteens and teenagers
• Proficiency in developing and implementing social-emotional learning interventions and crisis response plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and administration
• Organized, flexible, and driven to support student well-being and promote a positive school environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and support services to students in grades 5-9, addressing academic, behavioral, social, and emotional concerns
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized interventions and support strategies
• Lead or assist with crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions tailored to developmental needs
• Guide families to community resources and provide referrals when appropriate
• Maintain accurate, confidential student case notes and progress documentation
