7th Grade 8th Grade Social Worker in Pflugerville, TX

This is a contract-based opportunity working closely with young learners in a dynamic, educational setting near Pflugerville, TX. Qualifications:

• Valid social work licensure or eligibility in the state
• Previous experience working within an educational environment strongly preferred
• Proven ability to build rapport with students in upper elementary and middle/high school (5th-9th grade)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication with students, staff, and parents/guardians
• Knowledge of adolescent development and behavioral intervention strategies

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and social-emotional support for students in 5th through 9th grades
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to assess and address student needs
• Develop intervention plans and offer crisis support as necessary
• Lead small group and individual sessions focused on conflict resolution, peer relationships, and coping skills
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to student progress and sessions
• Connect students and families with relevant community resources and services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans
