8th Grade 9th Grade School Social Worker - Pflugerville, TX

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or certification (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent)
• Experience serving students in middle and/or upper elementary grades
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and behavioral interventions
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, social, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement intervention plans for students facing challenges
• Act as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
• Support students experiencing transitions, trauma, or crises
• Provide guidance to staff and families regarding student welfare and available services
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute insight for educational planning
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all ethical and legal standards
