Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and resilience in vibrant educational settings near Philadelphia, PA. Two full-time roles are available for experienced School Social Workers—one position at a middle school and another at an elementary arts-focused school. You’ll engage with young learners, guiding them through social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact academic and personal success.
This onsite role spans from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (8:30AM–4:00PM). You’ll collaborate closely with administrators and teachers to create impactful interventions and foster a nurturing climate for students.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active PA MSW license required
- Demonstrated experience in a school-based social work setting
- Per PA Department of Education guidelines, must have:
- Either a valid, active PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate
- OR an emergency permit plus LSW/LCSW, enrolled in a PDE-approved social worker program
- Ability to obtain or complete all necessary PA clearances
- Commitment to openly sharing assigned district information as part of submission
- Comfortable working within an urban school community
- Readiness to complete a Zoom interview as part of the selection process
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social-emotional support and crisis intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes
- Develop and follow intervention plans that address students’ diverse needs
- Advocate for students and connect families with community resources
