Social Worker in Philadelphia, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Social Worker credentials with previous experience in a school-based setting
• Familiarity with Social Emotional Learning (SEL), especially as it relates to group facilitation
• Ability to offer one-on-one counseling and intervention as necessary
• Understanding and experience with Act 1 and Act 158 requirements
• Skilled at communicating with students, staff, and families in diverse communities
• Demonstrated knowledge of Character Strong Curriculum is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging group SEL sessions founded on the Character Strong Curriculum
• Provide responsive 1:1 counseling and support to students facing individual challenges
• Deliver Act 1 support services and help students meet Act 158 graduation requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support whole-student achievement
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to individualized student plans
• Hours are from 7:15am to 3:15pm, aligning with a typical school schedule
