Make an impact supporting students in a dynamic bilingual school environment for the 26/27 school year. This flexible contract role is perfect for a dedicated Social Worker with experience in school or healthcare settings and a passion for working with English/Spanish bilingual students. With a schedule of 1–2 days per week (up to 14 hours), you’ll play a key role in the educational journey of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and contribute to the broader bilingual program.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker license required
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience as a Social Worker in school and/or healthcare settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct social work support to bilingual students with IEPs, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to design and implement effective supports for the Gen Ed bilingual program
- Assist building staff and administration with social-emotional initiatives when on campus
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential student records in line with state and district guidelines
- Serve as a culturally responsive advocate and resource for students and families
