School Social Worker - Pontiac, MI

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join a supportive school environment on a contract basis through June 2027. This role is on-site only and offers up to 35 hours per week, allowing you to build ongoing relationships while helping students thrive. What we’re looking for:

• Experience as a School Social Worker, preferably supporting elementary and/or special education populations
• Active Michigan school certification (310) required; please be prepared to submit your credential
• If certification is not held, supervision arrangements must be established prior to interview consideration
• Familiarity with contemporary best practices in student support and behavioral interventions
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and outside agencies

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and advocacy for students with special education needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Facilitate crisis intervention and prevention programs as needed
• Support families and staff with resources, referrals, and counseling
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress to stakeholders
