An exciting opportunity awaits for an Elementary Social Worker to support students and families in an engaging, contract setting. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a positive impact while accommodating a part-time schedule—2-3 days per week, with full-time consideration given to exceptional candidates. You'll collaborate with dedicated educational staff and serve a caseload of approximately 15-20 students, depending on final splits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver school social work services as outlined in IEP and 504 plans
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III behavioral and social-emotional interventions and supports for general education students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to plan and monitor student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation of services, interventions, and outcomes
  • Attend IEP meetings, staffings, and professional development opportunities as needed
  • Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, offering guidance and support to students requiring immediate assistance

Qualifications:

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with the School Social Work endorsement in Illinois—required
  • Experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary students, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral and social-emotional intervention strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation and multiple cases efficiently
  • Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to student success
