School-Based Social Worker - Rochester, Michigan

This onsite position is conveniently situated near Rochester, MI, and is focused on providing valuable services within an elementary school caseload. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in school-based settings, preferably working with elementary-age children
• Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and educational systems
• Ability to provide crisis intervention, facilitate social-emotional learning groups, and advocate for student needs
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working onsite and engaging with students, staff, and families in-person

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling/support to elementary students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs and goals
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community support organizations
• Maintain confidential records and accurate documentation of services provided
• Support a positive school climate and contribute to initiatives that foster student well-being
