Key Details:

  • ESY: June 30, 2026 – August 6, 2026 (up to 25 hours/week)
  • NSY: August 17, 2026 – June 11, 2027 (up to 35 hours/week)
  • Onsite only; remote work is not an option
  • Candidates must be available for both timeframes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan school social work certification (310). Please ensure your valid credential is submitted with your application—you can confirm your certification status at the Michigan credential verification website.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school-based or special education setting is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with the unique needs of special education populations.
  • Dependable, collaborative, and committed to supporting student success.
  • Candidates without current certification must have a supervision plan in place before the interview process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work services for K-12 students in special education, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and well-being.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and case notes.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and provide counseling as needed.
