Step into a meaningful contract opportunity for the upcoming school year! A full-time (4 days per week) position is available, lasting from August 6th, 2026, through May 27th, 2027, supporting students across two school buildings near Rociada, NM. As a dedicated resource for approximately 25 students, you’ll provide direct social work services and behavioral support, helping nurture social-emotional growth and positive behavior in a school-based setting.
In this itinerant role, you’ll be a key collaborator—working closely with educators, families, and outside providers, and participating in IEP meetings for comprehensive student support. Your expertise will ensure case management, proper documentation, and ongoing compliance with relevant guidelines.
Ideal candidates will bring the following:
- Current New Mexico PED Certification as a School Social Worker
- Valid New Mexico License as a Social Worker
- Experience delivering interventions to students in school settings
- Comfort with case management, compliance, and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for students and families
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Among your responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work and behavioral intervention services to students
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and compliance standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer insight to support tailored educational planning
