Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work required
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
- Previous experience as a school social worker strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of childhood and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate
Position Highlights:
- Work onsite primarily within the elementary school setting, offering direct support to students and families
- Play a vital role during the academic year from mid-August through late May, providing consistent, compassionate care
- Offer interventions, counseling, and resource coordination for individuals and small groups
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other support staff to develop individualized plans and address social-emotional or behavioral concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide case management, and track student progress
- Facilitate access to community resources and crisis support when needed
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines for documentation and confidentiality
