Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work required
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
  • Previous experience as a school social worker strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of childhood and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate

Position Highlights:

  • Work onsite primarily within the elementary school setting, offering direct support to students and families
  • Play a vital role during the academic year from mid-August through late May, providing consistent, compassionate care
  • Offer interventions, counseling, and resource coordination for individuals and small groups
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other support staff to develop individualized plans and address social-emotional or behavioral concerns
  • Participate in IEP meetings, provide case management, and track student progress
  • Facilitate access to community resources and crisis support when needed
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines for documentation and confidentiality
