School Social Worker in Round Lake, IL

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Valid professional licensure or certification for social work within the state
• Prior experience as a school-based social worker or in pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and build strong relationships with students and staff
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of situations and caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling for students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral issues
• Assess student needs and develop action plans with teachers, parents, and related service providers
• Support special education initiatives by participating in IEP/504 meetings and documentation
• Implement crisis intervention plans and offer immediate support as needed
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community agencies to address barriers to student success
• Document and maintain all records in compliance with relevant laws and school policies
