Make a meaningful impact supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a School Social Worker on a full-time, contract basis. This itinerant role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload across multiple sites, delivering direct and indirect services to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive social work services to students, including counseling and crisis intervention.
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings as a collaborative team member.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student well-being and success.
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources.
- Document and report on student progress and interventions as required.
- Travel between assigned schools within the district.
Required Qualifications:
- Hold current Michigan School Social Worker certification.
- Possess an active Michigan Social Worker license.
- Experience supporting children and adolescents in educational settings.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity working with students PreK-12th grade.
- Previous itinerant or multi-site experience is a plus.
