School-Based Social Worker - Saline, Michigan

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (state-specific credentials required)
• Experience working in educational settings, particularly with both general education and special education populations
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication, advocacy, and crisis-intervention skills
• Ability to manage a flexible, districtwide schedule and move easily between multiple school sites
• Familiarity with various support strategies, behavioral interventions, and resources for student success
• Collaborative approach, working effectively with educators, families, and other professionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support for PreK–12 students
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and contribute to IEP or 504 teams
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to address behavioral, emotional, and social barriers to learning
• Serve as a link between home, school, and community resources to promote student well-being
• Deliver both individual and group support, targeting specific needs across gen ed and SPED caseloads
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all services provided
