As a certified social worker, you'll be an essential support to both individual students and small groups, collaborating with educators to design and deliver needs-based group lessons driven by meaningful data. Your expertise in crisis intervention and group dynamics will be valued as you provide individual counseling, facilitate group sessions, and address emergent situations with care and professionalism—all while not requiring involvement in IEP processes.
Key Qualifications:
- Active LMSW certification; opportunity available for supervision toward LCSW
- Prior experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents
- Strong background in individual and group counseling techniques
- Skilled in crisis intervention and responsive communication
- Collaborative approach to partnering with teachers and school teams
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive environment for all students
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead small group or grade-level lessons and interventions based on student needs and data
- Deliver individual and group counseling services
- Serve as an on-call resource for crisis intervention as situations arise
- Work proactively with grade-level teams to identify and support at-risk students
- Maintain clear documentation of services provided and communicate progress as needed
This contract position offers a stable school-based schedule (35 hours per week) through May 28th, 2027, enabling meaningful relationship-building and continuity of care for the students you serve.
