Certified Social Worker | Sandia Park, New Mexico

Make a positive difference in the lives of elementary students as a full-time School Social Worker. We are seeking a dedicated professional to support a vibrant school community near Sandia Park, NM for a contract assignment running ASAP through June 2027. Working 35 hours per week, you’ll focus on promoting students’ well-being through individual counseling, small group support, crisis intervention, and teamwork with educational staff.

In this role, you’ll:

• Provide individual counseling services tailored to elementary-age students.
• Facilitate small group sessions to support social and emotional development.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure students receive appropriate support.
• Respond to crises on campus and assist in crisis intervention assessments and plans.
• Offer resources and referrals for students and families in need of additional services.

Qualifications we’re seeking:

• Licensed as a Master Social Worker in New Mexico.
• Current PED certification as a School Social Worker (New Mexico requirement).
• Previous experience working in elementary school settings preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
