School Social Worker in Schaumburg, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Illinois PEL with School Social Worker Endorsement required
• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Previous experience in a school setting, preferably at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of social-emotional development in children
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and case management skills
• Ability to travel throughout the district as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support services to elementary school students
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing a range of student needs
• Participate in the development of IEPs, 504 Plans, and Behavioral Intervention Plans
• Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support to students and families
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective strategies
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
