This full-time contract position calls for a dedicated Social Worker ready to engage K-4 students and collaborate with the school community to foster emotional well-being and resilience.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Social Worker license or certification in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Prior experience working in elementary school settings, especially with emotional support programs
  • Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral interventions
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized plans and group interventions

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect services to K-4 students receiving emotional support
  • Assess students’ needs and formulate strategies to help address academic, social, and emotional challenges
  • Lead small groups and individual sessions focusing on emotional regulation and social skills
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to coordinate resources
  • Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school and district policies
  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings to advocate for students’ interests
  • Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed to ensure a safe and supportive environment
