Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support an elementary school caseload (Grades K–4) focused on emotional support services. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Scranton, PA, with an immediate start date and the potential for extension into the next school year (NSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students in grades K–4
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams to support student success
• Develop and implement individualized strategies and interventions for students with emotional and behavioral needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Valid Pennsylvania School Social Worker certification or eligibility
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in emotional support settings, preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
