Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a School Social Worker, Psychologist, or LDTC (Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant)
- Previous experience in school-based roles supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Solid understanding of special education regulations and case management processes
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as interim case manager for assigned caseload, ensuring all student support plans are maintained and executed
- Conduct assessments and offer recommendations for services tailored to learning disabilities or mental health needs
- Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, providing guidance to teams and families
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines
- Act as a resource for staff and students, offering expertise in intervention strategies and support mechanisms
- Communicate regularly with educators, administration, and families to foster a supportive and collaborative environment
