Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience in a school, youth services, or related setting preferred
- Strong understanding of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral management
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage caseloads and provide both individual and group support effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for at-risk students
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement strategies that support student well-being and academic performance
- Participate in IEP meetings, support special education needs, and ensure compliance with all school, state, and federal guidelines
- Connect students and families to community resources and coordinate outside services as needed
- Promote positive school climate and facilitate workshops on social-emotional learning topics
