Bring your expertise to a contract opportunity supporting students' well-being in an educational setting. Two full-time social worker positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, offering the chance to directly impact school communities. The roles are slated to begin September 8, 2026, with a tentative end date based on permanent hiring decisions, and will be based in-person.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current NYS School Social Worker (SSW) certification
  • Active LMSW or LCSW license in New York State
  • Previous experience as a social worker in a school environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity for collaboration with school teams and families
  • Empathetic, resourceful, and organized approach to student support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social-emotional support and counseling services to students
  • Assess student needs and collaborate with staff to develop support plans
  • Partner with families and community agencies to address student concerns
  • Contribute to positive school climate initiatives and behavior interventions
  • Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Adapt to evolving caseload assignments and schedules (to be finalized late August)
