Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a social worker in K-12 school settings, with strong knowledge of special education needs.
• Valid Michigan school social worker certification (310) is required—please submit a copy with your application.
• Candidates without a 310 certification must secure appropriate supervision prior to the interview.
• Comfortable working onsite with students, staff, and families.
• Strong communication, crisis intervention, and case management abilities.
• Committed to supporting students’ emotional, behavioral, and social development.
• Able to commit to the entire assignment:
  • ESY: June 30, 2026 – August 6, 2026 (up to 25 hours/week)
  • NSY: August 17, 2026 – June 11, 2027 (up to 35 hours/week)

Primary Duties:

• Conduct individual and group counseling for students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive interventions.
• Perform assessments and develop intervention plans for students facing academic and personal challenges.
• Support crisis response and conflict resolution efforts within the school.
• Maintain student records and document progress in compliance with district and state guidelines.
