Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work required
- Valid Michigan state licensure as a Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Proficient in clinical assessment and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide social-emotional support and implement behavior interventions for students across general and special education programs
- Serve as the school’s 504 Plan Coordinator, facilitating meetings and supporting compliance throughout the academic year
- Collaborate with staff, administrators, and families to develop integrative plans promoting student well-being and academic engagement
- Conduct assessments, deliver counseling services, and help students overcome barriers to learning
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district standards
