School-Based Social Worker - Sterling Heights, Michigan

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active School Social Worker certification (310) required; please submit a copy with your application.
• Experience working with K-12 students, especially in special education settings, highly valued.
• Ability to work onsite throughout the assignment—remote work is not available.
• If you do not currently hold a Michigan school social work certification, supervision must be arranged prior to interviewing.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are a must.
• Passion for supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive school social work services to K-12 students.
• Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and facilitate interventions as needed.
• Support teachers and staff with resources and strategies for student success.
• Foster strong relationships with families and serve as a liaison between home and school.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all district and state requirements.
