Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid Michigan School Social Worker license
• Previous experience working in educational settings, particularly schools
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, counseling, and support services
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Capacity to build trust with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development through individual and group counseling
• Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to implement supportive services
• Engage with families to reinforce student progress and connect them to additional resources
• Address crisis situations and provide strategies for conflict resolution
• Document all activities, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with district policies
• Lead or assist with social-emotional learning initiatives and preventative mental health programs
