In this full-time contract opportunity, you’ll work within a vibrant educational setting, collaborating with staff, families, and community resources to ensure the social and emotional well-being of students.
Desired skills and experience:
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program
- Valid and current state social work licensure appropriate for schools
- Previous experience in an educational setting or with children and adolescents
- Strong ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of community resources and support systems
Key responsibilities:
- Assess students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs to develop individualized intervention plans
- Provide both one-on-one and group support to students, addressing social and emotional challenges to enhance learning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for student needs and support overall well-being
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services provided
- Consult with community agencies and connect families with relevant support services
- Contribute to school-wide programs promoting a positive climate, social skills, and mental health awareness
