VocoVision is seeking a qualified, Michigan-licensed School Social Worker to provide virtual services to students for the 2026–2027 school year! This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a school-based setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with school-aged students and meet Michigan's state-specific licensing and school social work credentialing requirements.

Position Details

• Position: Virtual School Social Worker

• Location: Michigan (100% Remote)

• School Year: 2026–2027

• Employment Type: Contract

• Setting: Virtual School-Based Services

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual individual and group social work services to students.

• Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development.

• Conduct social work assessments and participate in evaluations as needed.

• Develop and implement appropriate interventions and support plans.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other related service providers.

• Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing and monitoring student goals.

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.

• Active Michigan Master Social Worker License (LMSW) issued by LARA.

• Valid Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Social Worker credential, including one of the following:

  • Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC).

  • School Social Worker Full Approval.

• Previous school-based social work experience preferred.

• Experience providing counseling, behavioral interventions, and student support services.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to provide virtual services and maintain a professional teletherapy environment.

Important Licensing Requirement: Applicants must possess the appropriate Michigan social work licensure and school social worker credentialing to be considered. A general social work license alone does not satisfy Michigan's school social worker credentialing requirements.
