Virtual School Social Worker – Illinois | 2026–2027 School Year

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Virtual School Social Worker to support students in an Illinois school district for the 2026–2027 school year. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a qualified social worker who is passionate about supporting students’ academic success, mental health, and social-emotional development while enjoying the flexibility of tele-services.

K–12 caseload based on district needs
Competitive pay: $45–$50/hour
1099 Independent Contractor opportunity
Potential for contract renewal

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual individual and group counseling services to students
• Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and student support planning
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral supports, and resource coordination
• Develop and implement interventions to promote student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records in accordance with district requirements

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
• Previous school-based social work experience preferred
• Knowledge of special education processes, IEPs, 504 plans, and student support services
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable providing services through a secure virtual platform
