Make a difference in the lives of high school students as a dedicated Social Worker supporting mental health needs within a collaborative educational community. This onsite contract opportunity is located near Thornton, CO, and offers the chance to work closely with one school campus from ASAP through late May 2027, providing consistent, meaningful support for students and staff. With a focus on mental health services for mild to moderate, Affective Needs, and Significant Support Needs students, you’ll play a key role in nurturing student growth and success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with Social Worker Endorsement required
- Strong preference for candidates with Special Education (SPED) experience
- Background working with high school students and supporting mental health in an educational setting
- Understanding of IEP-driven service minutes and varied student caseloads
- Ability to complete necessary district credentialing prior to assignment start
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work and mental health services for a diverse student caseload, emphasizing IEP goals and individualized support
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service professionals to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and resource connection for students as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and school-wide initiatives supporting student well-being
