Social Worker in Uniontown, PA

Make a meaningful impact supporting students and families as a school-based Social Worker on a contract assignment near Uniontown, PA. Two full-time openings are available for dedicated professionals eager to provide crucial mental health and emotional support services for the coming school year and beyond.

The first position is at a McMurray campus specializing in emotional support and partial hospitalization programs, starting as soon as possible and running through early June 2027 (subject to change). The second is a long-term substitute opportunity within the California Area School District in Coal Center, PA, covering from October 2026 through the end of January 2027 (specific start/end dates forthcoming).

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or a closely related field
• Active PA State License required
• PDE Educational Specialist certification preferred (if you do not have this certification, you may still be considered—emergency certificates can be requested as needed)
• Commitment to commuting to the specified school site(s); please ensure your route is manageable prior to applying
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate in a team-centered school environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling services to students
• Consult with teachers and staff on academic, behavioral, and emotional intervention plans
• Serve as a liaison between families, students, and community resources
• Support the development of students’ social and emotional skills through targeted programming
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of services provided
