Social Worker in Uniontown, PA

Two full-time School Social Worker opportunities are available for passionate professionals to serve as vital members of student support teams. These contract roles are based onsite at two locations near Uniontown, PA—choose the setting that best aligns with your interests and expertise.

Position 1 offers the chance to work within robust emotional support programs, including a partial hospitalization setting, at a specialized campus. This assignment begins as soon as possible and is currently set to run through December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Position 2 is a long-term substitute assignment at a school district, covering from October 2026 through the end of January 2027. Exact start and end dates will be confirmed closer to the assignment.

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• Active PA State Social Work license
• PDE Educational Specialist certification preferred—if not currently held, emergency certification can be pursued
• Previous experience supporting school-aged children in emotional or behavioral support settings
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling for students in need of emotional or mental health support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
• Serve as a liaison between families, students, school staff, and community resources
• Maintain thorough, confidential records and documentation
• Support crisis intervention when needed
