Social Worker | Upper Darby, Pennsylvania

Two exciting contract Social Worker roles are available for the upcoming school year at both the middle and elementary levels, providing dedicated support to students and collaborating with caring educators.

With this full-time position, you’ll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:30AM–4:00PM, 37.5 hours weekly) from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. As a key member of the onsite team, you’ll engage closely with students, families, and staff, fostering a positive school environment.

Key Qualifications:
• Active MSW license in Pennsylvania
• School-based social worker experience
• Hold a valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate OR an emergency permit, LSW or LCSW license, and enrollment in a PDE-approved program (per state requirements)
• Ability to obtain and complete all required PA clearances
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills
• Experience or comfort working in urban educational settings
• Ready for a Zoom-based interview process

Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver social work services to students, addressing social, emotional, and academic needs
• Collaborate with school staff on interventions, resources, and initiatives to support student success
• Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed
• Advocate for student wellness and support programs
• Communicate effectively with families and external agencies
• Maintain confidential and comprehensive student records
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and community engagement activities
