Social Worker in Upper Darby, PA

Make an impact working with students in grades 6-12 as a school-based Social Worker on a contract assignment. Desired Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in a K-12 or secondary school setting preferred
• Familiarity with the Character Strong Curriculum is a plus
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills
• Ability to provide crisis intervention and 1:1 counseling support
• Understanding of Act 1 support and Act 158 requirements
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and safe school climate

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging group sessions focused on Social Emotional Learning for grades 6-12
• Provide individual counseling and support to students as needed
• Identify and respond to student needs through Act 1 support initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Act 158 graduation requirements related to student support services
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to build a holistic approach to student well-being
• Maintain accurate session documentation and participate in team meetings when required
• Utilize best practices for confidentiality and ethical social work standards
