This contract role focuses on supporting young learners by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs within a dynamic school environment. Working 2-3 days a week, with flexibility for experienced full-time candidates, this position provides the chance to collaborate with educators and families to create positive outcomes.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement is required
  • Prior experience in a school setting or with elementary-age children is highly valued
  • Strong background in implementing individualized education programs (IEP) and 504 plans
  • Familiarity with Tier II/III behavioral interventions and social-emotional supports
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver social work services outlined in IEP and 504 plans for a caseload of 15-20 students (based on split and final assignments)
  • Implement targeted Tier II/III behavioral and social-emotional interventions for general education students
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to design and monitor effective support strategies
  • Maintain clear, accurate records and comply with all state and school guidelines
  • Help foster an inclusive, caring school environment for all students
