Qualifications:
- Valid LCSW credential required
- Previous experience as a school social worker strongly preferred
- Registered NPI number
- Active registration on the PAVE portal (mandatory for mental health program support)
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in school-based mental health services
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to cultural competence and equity in education
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies, behavior plans, and crisis support as needed
- Participate in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Serve as a resource for staff and families on mental health topics, connecting them with community resources when appropriate
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal mandates
- Respond to referrals and participate in case conferences and school meetings
