School Social Worker - Victorville, CA

Qualifications:

• Valid LCSW credential required
• Previous experience as a school social worker strongly preferred
• Registered NPI number
• Active registration on the PAVE portal (mandatory for mental health program support)
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in school-based mental health services
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to cultural competence and equity in education

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges
• Develop and implement intervention strategies, behavior plans, and crisis support as needed
• Participate in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
• Serve as a resource for staff and families on mental health topics, connecting them with community resources when appropriate
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal mandates
• Respond to referrals and participate in case conferences and school meetings
