This full-time opportunity is based near Walton, NY, with working hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mondays and 8:00 am to 3:15 pm Tuesday through Friday. In this role, you will help foster a positive learning environment by guiding students and collaborating with colleagues and families to address a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds a current New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license, or is actively pursuing LCSW status with supervision provided if in progress.
- Alternately, possesses New York State Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW) credentials.
- Completion of Mandated Reporter training as required by state education regulations.
- Satisfactory NYSED fingerprinting and background screening.
- Completion of Sexual Harassment Prevention training, in accordance with NYSED requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling services according to students’ IEPs, 504 Plans, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) recommendations.
- Collaborate with families to identify community-based resources supporting the mental and emotional health of students.
- Serve as an integral member of the counseling team, providing crisis response and emotional support alongside faculty when needed.
