This position offers a blend of extended school year (ESY) and regular school year (NSY) assignments, providing valuable continuity for students and the chance to work closely with a diverse population.

Assignment Details:

  • Extended School Year (ESY): June 30, 2026 – August 6, 2026, up to 25 hours per week
  • Regular School Year (NSY): August 17, 2026 – June 11, 2027, up to 35 hours per week
  • Applicants must be available for both the ESY and NSY sessions
  • Primarily supporting K-12 students in special education

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan school social worker certificate (310) is required—please provide a copy with your application
  • Certification status can be verified via the Michigan Department of Education’s public credential search
  • If not certified, supervision must be arranged prior to interviews
  • Familiarity with K–12 educational settings and special education preferred
  • Commitment to on-site work is essential

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive social work support to K-12 students, focusing on those in special education
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
