School Social Worker - Warren, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a School Social Worker with SSW approval from the MDE
• Proven experience in school settings preferred, especially with elementary-aged children
• Skilled in delivering one-on-one and group counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with educators and families
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload (anticipated 50-60 students, may increase)
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and interventions tailored to individual and group needs
• Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate IEPs for students requiring service
• Partner with faculty and administration to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate
• Serve as a liaison between home and school to coordinate resources and foster student success
• Maintain comprehensive records, progress notes, and comply with district guidelines
• Respond promptly to crises and participate in school team meetings as needed
