School Social Worker in Warren, MI

As the onsite 504 Plan Coordinator, you will play a key role in fostering a supportive environment and collaborating with a diverse team of educators and families.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Current Michigan licensure as a Social Worker
• Previous experience supporting K-12 students in a school setting
• Strong clinical assessment and behavioral intervention skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Talent for teamwork within a multidisciplinary educational support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as 504 Plan Coordinator, overseeing plans and compliance across multiple students
• Provide targeted social-emotional interventions and behavior support to general and special education populations
• Collaborate proactively with teachers, school administrators, and families
• Conduct individual assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to diverse student needs
• Facilitate communication and connect families to relevant community resources to maximize student potential

This position is full time, offering approximately 37.5 hours per week, with all duties performed onsite. The engagement runs through June 2027, giving you the chance to make a meaningful, sustained impact while developing enduring relationships with students, educators, and the school community.
