Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners and their families as a school social worker, covering a valued colleague’s leave from November through February. In this impactful role, your time will be split between an early childhood center and an elementary school, allowing you to work with both preschool-aged children in the GSRP program (0.6 FTE) and students requiring 1755 supports, as well as elementary-aged students (0.4 FTE). Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid social work credentials with relevant state certification for schools
- Previous experience in educational settings, especially Early Childhood and Elementary preferred
- Familiarity with 1755 supports and working with GSRP children is a plus
- Strong ability to collaborate with educational staff, students, and families
- Compassionate, proactive, and organized approach to meeting student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services to students individually and in small groups
- Provide support to children with IEPs and ensure compliance with related services
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement appropriate student supports
- Develop and update student documentation as required
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive school climate
