School Social Worker in Waukegan, IL

What we’re looking for:

• Experience as a Social Worker in a school setting, with a solid understanding of educational systems
• Knowledge of best practices in student support, crisis intervention, and case management
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse student populations and staff
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement strategies that promote emotional, social, and academic growth
• Valid professional credentials and licensure as required by the state of Illinois
• Commitment to confidentiality, empathy, and ethical standards

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct social-emotional support to students during the school day
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions and support plans
• Conducting assessments and maintaining comprehensive reports on student progress
• Coordinating referrals to community resources and outside agencies as needed
• Supporting crisis prevention and intervention efforts
• Promoting a positive and inclusive school climate

This contract opportunity offers approximately 30 billable hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 2pm. The start date is immediate, with the assignment duration to be determined.
