Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Current state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
• Experience with counseling, crisis intervention, and student support services within a school environment
• Strong ability to develop relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Skilled in assessing student needs and implementing individualized plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing school priorities

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify social, behavioral, and academic needs of students
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to design targeted intervention strategies
• Provide short-term counseling, crisis management, and conflict resolution services
• Facilitate communication between school and home, connecting families to community resources
• Advocate for students’ rights and services to promote equitable educational opportunities
• Support IEP and 504 planning and implementation as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all regulations
