School Social Worker - West Chester, PA

Two full-time positions are available for dedicated and compassionate School Social Workers at the middle and elementary levels. Both opportunities are onsite and offer the chance to make a profound impact in supportive, inclusive school communities.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Master of Social Work (MSW) license in Pennsylvania.
• Prior experience working within a school environment.
• Compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education guidelines, holding either:
  • A valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate, or
  • An emergency permit with LSW or LCSW credentials and currently enrolled in a PDE-approved program.
• Ability to obtain and complete all necessary Pennsylvania clearances.
• Comfortable and committed to engaging within an urban school setting.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and interventions to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and develop appropriate support plans.
• Facilitate group and individual counseling as needed.
• Promote a positive school climate by supporting restorative practices and conflict resolution.
• Connect families with community resources and external agencies for additional support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant confidentiality and reporting requirements.

Position Details & Schedule:

• Contract position from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027.
• Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM.
• Positions open at a middle school and an elementary school within vibrant, diverse learning communities.
