Social Worker | West Chester, Pennsylvania

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their social and emotional development in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work in either a middle school or elementary school setting, starting as soon as possible and lasting through June 10, 2027. With two openings available, you’ll serve as a trusted resource, providing critical support to students, collaborating with educators, and contributing to a positive school culture.

Key Qualifications:

• School-based social work experience required
• Active MSW license in Pennsylvania
• Meets PA Dept. of Education requirements:
  • Holds a valid, active PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate
    OR
  • Holds LSW or LCSW, and is enrolled in a PDE-approved social worker program
• Able to obtain/complete all required PA clearances
• Comfortable working in urban school settings
• Must be able to disclose district placement in advance
• Availability for a Zoom interview
• Full-time availability (37.5 hours/week, 8:30AM–4PM)

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students
• Assess students’ needs and develop intervention plans in collaboration with families and school teams
• Maintain accurate and confidential records
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
• Contribute to initiatives that foster a positive learning environment
