Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure as a Social Worker, eligible for school or educational settings.
- Previous experience working with middle and high-school age students (5th–9th grade) preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Knowledge of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and current best practices in school social work.
- Effective documentation, case management, and crisis intervention skills.
- Comfortable with both individual counseling and facilitating small group sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students individually and in groups.
- Assess student needs and create clear, actionable support plans in collaboration with teachers and families.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate for all students.
- Respond to crises and provide short-term interventions as needed.
- Consult with classroom staff to support student learning and social adjustment.
- Participate actively in meetings, educational planning, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with district policies.
