Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience supporting school-aged children, ideally across 5th to 9th grades
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and challenges facing middle and early high school students
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and able to thrive in dynamic school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs through one-on-one and group sessions
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to create individualized support plans and behavioral interventions
- Advocate for students’ wellbeing, working to remove barriers to academic and personal success
- Facilitate workshops and classroom activities addressing topics such as emotional regulation, bullying prevention, and coping skills
- Document services provided and maintain accurate, confidential records per ethical and professional standards
- Serve as a resource to staff regarding best practices in student wellness and support
