Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Social Worker for the 2024-2026 school years. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois SSW license is required
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
  • Demonstrated previous experience as a social worker in a school setting
  • Commitment to providing in-person support only (remote/virtual work is not available)
  • Ability to provide thoughtful interventions and collaborate with educators and families

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 25 elementary-aged students, offering direct support for social-emotional and behavioral needs
  • Deliver push-in services within special education classrooms, working as an integrated part of the school’s multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Foster a safe and inclusive school climate while promoting positive relationships
  • Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and participate in IEP meetings and intervention planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics
