School Social Worker - Woonsocket, RI

Key Qualifications:

• Current state license as LMSW, LSW, or LCSW, as well as a school certification through RIDE (proof of application accepted if certification is pending)
• Prior experience in school settings is highly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience facilitating social skills groups is a significant advantage
• Passion for fostering positive student outcomes and creating an inclusive, supportive environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual counseling and small-group interventions to students, addressing a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Organize and lead social skills groups to promote positive peer interaction and emotional regulation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective intervention plans
• Assist with crisis management and provide resource referrals as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all district and state guidelines

Role Details:

• Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15 am – 2:45 pm (Wednesdays extend to 3:00 pm)
• Commitment to the 2026/2027 academic year
